EMPACT MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES

Keith Emery who is a Hospitality and Tourism training specialist founded Empact Management and Training Services in 1986. We now operate in the delivery of quality training and consultancy, through practical assistance to companies and organisations operating in the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Industry.

Its role is to help with the production and introduction of a marketing strategy and promotional plans and materials, financial management, profit improvement, operational plans, mystery visits to check on hospitality & service as well as security aspects, management and human resource development (including Skillseekers) programmes for companies and smaller independent businesses.

Empact has extensive experience in the delivery of training events to all sectors of the Industry. This guarantees that the training will be highly relevant and tailored specifically to the delegates’ individual businesses and needs.

Keith Emery has been involved in Hotel General Management, Operations, Marketing, Selling and Sales Promotion, Training and Consultancy within the Tourism Industry throughout his career (36 years in Scotland). He therefore has a sound understanding of the Tourism Industry, the Scottish markets and of the likely needs for delegates.

He is a professionally trained Hotelier and a fully qualified Training Officer. His early career involved a classical practical training in all aspects of hotel keeping. He qualified for full membership of the Hotel and Catering International Association at Henley College.
He is also a full member of the British Institute of Innkeeping and the Tourism Society. His early management experience was gained in several large city centre hotels, 3 in Scotland.

After leaving the industry post of Hotel General Manager with many years experience behind him he decided to change direction and so joined the Hotel and Catering Training Board with whom he worked for 9 years, learning and qualifying in the craft of trainer and a consultant. He studied Marketing at Cranfield Management Institute.

In 1986 he launched a tourism training and consultancy practice (Empact Training Services), which has operated successfully for over 20 years.

Keith is very familiar with modern training techniques, facilitation, action learning approaches and in particular on-site training, business development advice and counseling with individuals. His areas of specialism cover the topics of sales and marketing, customer care and selling skills, operational and financial management, high-level service skills, costing and control and management skills.

He is passionate about great service and sees 100k Welcomes as an opportunity to spread the pride and passion for service message throughout the Industry.
