| Argyll College aims to provide accessible education and training of the highest stand ard, to support the development of people, businesses and communities in Argyll and the Islands.
As a full academic partner of the UHI Millennium Institute, Argyll College comprises 11 learning centres spread across the mainland and islands of Argyll, offering a growing range of further and higher education provision and training to a widening geographical area. It is estimated that around 9% of the workforce in Argyll is employed in the tourism industry and as the only locally-based further and higher education provider, Argyll College is ideally placed to deliver and provide access to a portfolio of tourism and hospitality training products. Among the tourism sector courses already available through Argyll College are Elementary Food Hygiene (REHIS), Bed and Breakfast Operations, and HNC and HND Tourism. Darlene Russell is an experienced yet highly versatile trainer with a proven track record. Strong leadership with extensive market knowledge are key qualities of this dynamic and effective trainer who excels in assisting clients develop their teams to ensure business goals are met. Darlene has a down-to-earth attitude with a passion for delivering first class training. She has recently been awarded a licence to deliver 100k Welcomes Leadership and Operations programmes throughout Scotland. Argyll College is proud to be associated with 100k Welcomes, and looks forward to working closely with partners in the tourism industry. Argyll College will be offering courses open to all, as well as bespoke events for organisations.
