DM Training was set up in April 2006. Our main aim is to develop and inspire people working in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

Training is a vital component for the future of the industry and with a combination of Skills, People and Management Development Programmes, DM Training has the perfect mix to provide an all round product to its customers.

In order to tackle Training challenges, DM Training has created a new range of Training which includes Skills Slot Training for operational staff, ½ day Workshops (Leading with Knowledge) for Supervisors and Middle Management and full day (Driving Force) courses for Senior Management. These courses have been designed to make better use of people’s time and also to make use of quiet times that hotels, restaurants, visitor attractions and even pubs have.

Areas covered by Skill Slots include – Function Service, Food and Beverage Skills, Bar Service, Housekeeping, Front Office.

Training Courses run from 1 hour sessions to 2 Day Programmes.

As well as delivering Skills and Development Courses, DM Training also deliver Legislative Training which includes Food Hygiene at Elementary and Intermediate Level, Introduction to Hazard Analysis and HACCP, HACCP for Caterers (following Cooksafe), Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, Chartered Management Institute Introductory Certificates and Vocational Qualifications in Hospitality and Management at various levels.
