Want to be part of one of Scotland’s most admired customer service programmes? If you do, you might want to consider applying to become a One Hundred Thousand Welcomes Trainer.Since its launch in 2006 more than 2,500 people working in Scotland's tourism industry have benefited from the programme.
So, if you have a strong track record in training and developing people and understand the tourism and hospitality industry, we’d like to hear from you.
What’s involved:
We’re keen to hear from exceptional people developers capable of delivering our Delivering Service Excellence and Leading Service Excellence programmes. We are currently looking to recruit our next in-take of trainers. If you interested please email ian.hunt@tiscali.co.uk
If you succeed at the interview you will go through a comprehensive training programme to understand the content of both programmes and the philosophy behind them. This includes delivering one of the programmes while tutored by an existing training.
Your training costs £350. This includes the cost of the annual licence to deliver both programmes.
What’s in it for my business?
Potentially a great deal. For open programmes, you charge the following fees per person.| Delivering Service Excellence | £59 plus VAT per person |
| Leading Service Excellence | £165 plus VAT per person. |
For in-house programmes – and the majority of One Hundred Thousand Welcomes programmes tend to be these – you will probably negotiate the fees based on the particular needs of the business.
How much you earn depends on the number of people attending the programme and, of course, the number of courses you run. While we expect you to proactively sell the programmes to clients and contacts there is also support to help you do this including:
- The 100k Welcomes website. We regularly update this to include information on when and where programmes are running, case studies and trainer profiles.
- Marketing materials
- Opportunities to network with key industry bodies
- PR
