Here in Scotland we’ve a bold vision for our tourism industry. By 2015 we want to see a revenue growth of around 50% with year on year improvements in customer satisfaction. How we will achieve this? There are a number of ways. For example, knowing our visitors better - who they are, where they come from and why they visit - and then making sure we exceed their expectations every time. To help us do that we need a tourism industry that’s packed with people with the right skills and knowledge to provide customer service that’s truly exceptional. Because it doesn’t matter how amazing the location or how great the food the fact remains that if the service is, at worst, poor and, at best, simply half-hearted, you’re business is unlikely to thrive. That’s where One Hundred Thousand Welcomes has such a crucial part to play. Supported by Scottish Enterprise (SE) and Highland & Islands Enterprise (HIE) One Hundred Thousand Welcomes has two training programmes – one for business leaders and the other for front line staff – which are packed with proven tools, tips, techniques and information which show you how to deliver customer service that’s exceptional. Furthermore, our programmes are delivered by highly experienced trainers who understand the industry inside out. |
